In June 1982 three woodworkers (Chris, Eddie & Steve, hence CrESt) started a new business from a converted chicken shed.

Our aim was to produce and sell made to measure kitchen doors to the public. A business contact from a previous employer became the first customer.

Through word of mouth our customer base grew. As business increased we had a slight change of direction. We aimed more at the trade market and introduced standard sizes. Our range of doors was also growing with the business.

We moved to bigger premises and started employing more staff. In April 1995 due to a new ring road being built though the middle of our workshop we were forced to move again.

Even though Chris retired in 1999, Dave (Ed's son) has joined us and is now our prime sales contact.

Our current workshop is located in Whitehall, Bristol. All the doors can be produced in any of the following solid timbers: Maple, Oak, Ash, Cherry or Pine.

Over the past 3 years we have steadily increased our production and are now producing 20-30,000 doors per annum.
